I love Ted Chiang's writing. Instead of dwelling on the tropes and aesthetics of science fiction, in each short story he paints a unique vision of the future that consistently suprises and amazes.
The way Kimmerer justaposes a scientific perspective and her personal experience to craft stories from and about moss is incredible. It's also super interesting to hear about Native American stories and points of view from someone of that heritage.
